This site is under major construction!
Basically right now, just trying to organise all of my poetry.
After which, I'll add my art and graphics to go with the poems and/or the themed content.

    "Fall Leaves!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                        Leaves, leaves, all around.
Watch them tumble to the ground.
Rake 'em up into a pile.
For fun that lasts for quite awhile.
Leaves of red, orange, golden yellow,
As Autumn whispers a sweet hello.
The air is crisp, fresh and cool.
Thoughts of apple cider makes one drool.
Time to visit your favorite patch,
Your pumpkin awaits for you to snatch!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Have loads of fun this fall.
Always be safe, though, above all.
In a pile of leaves, never play,
That's near a road or in a driveway.
Hidden within, a motorist can't see or know,
'Cause you're covered with leaves from head to toe!

    "Whoooooooo am I?"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      Can you see me,
                      Swirling all around?
Ahh, but you can hear me,
As I create an eerie sound.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      I can be gentle,
As I caress your skin exposed,
                      But I can be ruthless,
                      As I plunder, everything's disposed.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      How I love to tickle,
Play with all the stately trees.
                      Usually they bend and bow,
                      As I tantalize and tease.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sometimes, I like to bring along
                      Friends that rough may be.
They clap, they roll, they flash.
                      They rile up the sea.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      No, I am not visual.
                      No, me you cannot see,
                      But my actions are visible
                      To a lesser, greater degree.

"A Brand New Star!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A life, a bond, has begun to grow.
The Good Lord is about to bestow.
From the first you look upon the face,
You'll feel the Blessed touch of His Grace.
Forever seek His Guidance from above,
Example by Him, His endurance and love
Keep in touch, close, personal and true.
Welcome His Greatness to prevail in you.
This precious gift is not to possess,
But guide and nurture for His Holiness.
Our Lord has entrusted this soul to you,
  Remember this, each, everyday through.
Be a beacon in guiding this soul,
For only God's Light can make one whole.
So cuddle and love and nurture true,
For the greatest award is awaiting you.
The road is long with many trials-
  And tribulations throughout the miles.
Don't be disheartened or feel dismay,
For there will be joys in everyday.
Joys not worldly, but so immense,
For this love is the most intense.
Money can't measure nor can it be told,
The greatest treasure you're about to behold.
With two pairs of hands, touch and assure,
Release your love and keep it pure.
Though your eyes may fill with pride,
Keep your mind open and wide.
The babbling and cooing shall delight your ear,
The pitters and patters you'll come to hear.
Feel with your heart, hear as well
See with your heart, for it will tell.
  The heart portrays, always reveals,
God's spoken words, the mind repeals.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
On a most wonderful journey, you're about to begin,
Soon you'll find it hard to remember when.
The times before will seem distant, far
For you're under the light of ---
  A Brand New Star!

"Inspiration...By A Child"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Many years a writer am I.
Many experiences in years gone by.
Words that I write are straight from the heart
Of lessons I've learned right from the start.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When writing for children, I find this so cool,
For here I apply a most wonderful tool.
To think like a child, as well as to see,
To reach a child, imagination's the key,
That opens the door to the world they're in.
Without this ingredient you can't even begin
To be on their level which is really so high
For God watches over them right from the sky!
Their world should be kept innocent and pure.
If we all kept in mind, oh, what a cure...
For a world that is so full of sin
And everyone's afraid to crack even a grin.
If we'd all focus our minds for all children's sake,
We'd all see a change. What a difference we'd make!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We need to teach our children to care
About all things in this world we share.
The best way to teach is by exampling the lessons
For they need to see and know their blessin's.
Their ears hear better. Their eyes see more
Than even the smartest can even implore.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As we grow older we must take along
  The child in us and keep in our song;
The melody we hum, the tune of our kind,
Should always reflect our child in mind.
For here lies the roots of lessons we've learned
To always rely on in the years we've earned.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The very next time you look on a child
Reflect in yourself the memories you've filed.
Open the gates for you need to emboss
What's a tad bit dusty, yet, really not lost.
Remember a child is the nearest to heaven,
So allow the child in you, your goodness to leaven.

- "A Brand New Star!" -
Inspired by two of my best friends, Dan and Lisa, because they were determined to have a child of their own to love and nurture.
Through their will and desire to have a child, they at last were so blessed.. and so, I wrote this poem for them ..and their blessed
child, who is now a bright and beautiful young lady today! All my love always and may God continue to bless you always.

Children: Safe Fun
Yours truly is in the process of putting some web-pages together that are focused around safety.
When this project is completed or near completion, I'll add the link here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Beachside: Sun & Surf!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Going to the beach can be loads of fun,
As long as you remember safety's number one!
Apply sunscreen often. Never swim alone.
Know the emergency number, access to a phone.
Drink lots of water, especially when you play hard.
Signs of not feeling well, do not disregard.
Keep your common sense about you in spite of any dare.
Your life is most precious and you have NONE to spare!

"Winter Fun!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When old man winter knocks upon our door,
We know that frosty weather is what he has in store.
He also brings the snow, making snowmen we're so fond,
And we're sure to skate on the nearby frozen pond.
Winter can be fun, but there are safety measures, too.
As you would another season, bring a friend with you.
Keep frostbite from nipping your fingers and your toes,
But don't forget to check also, your ears and your nose!
Stay off of thin ice, even it seems safe enough, okay.
Keep yourself safe, so there'll be many times to play.

"Ready to Ride!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Here we stand by the gate.
Ready to go. We don't like to wait.
Midnight is more patient than I.
He just stands with only a sigh.
I, on the other hand, will paw the soil.
My name by the way is Scarlet Royal.
Shall we ride the trails today?
Or can we go the other way?
You know, the path to the riding ring,
But beyond that, I'll gladly bring.
You can count on this little horse,
For I'll do my best on the hunter course.
We can canter along at an easy pace.
We'll take in stride each hurdle we face.
With each jump, we'll sail through the air.
The wind gently playing with our manely hair.
So, come on! Get up on your anxious mount!
Let's ride away and give time no account!

"L(.)..(.)ney Tunes!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
L(.)..(.)ney tunes, l(.)..(.)ney tunes, this is what we be.
Some may call us crazy for they cannot see.
Spreading joy and laughter, for this, we do our best,
'Tis the goal we have in mind for our zany, little quest.
If we can make one giggle, a hearty laugh, procure,
We have accomplished much, of this, we can be sure!

"An Eclipse, A Smile!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                    There's never a reason, never a case,
When a smile can't brighten up any face!
Placing a twinkle in another's eye,
                    Releasing the burden of the deepest sigh;
Turning up the corners of another's lips,
                    Renders the sadness into eclipse.
An eclipse of light will surely erase
The gloom and doom from the darkest face.

"The Dragon - A Silly Poem!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I'm a great, big dragon with a breath of fire.
I'd spew some now, but I need to retire.
I have claws so crookedly forming a curve
I'd pounce right now, but I haven't the nerve.
                 My yellowish-green scaly, rough skin
Would scare anyone a mile within.
I have spikes so sharp that run down my spine.
When I scratch my ear, I bleed every time.
My clumsy, big feet trip over my tail.
I have googly, green eyes that would frighten a whale.
My gosh! I am a sad, sorry sight.
Don't run into me ever, especially at night!

...Just being silly at 3:30 a.m..
-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Whoooooooo am I?"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      Can you see me,
                      Swirling all around?
Ahh, but you can hear me,
As I create an eerie sound.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      I can be gentle,
As I caress your skin exposed,
                      But I can be ruthless,
                      As I plunder, everything's disposed.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      How I love to tickle,
Play with all the stately trees.
                      Usually they bend and bow,
                      As I tantalize and tease.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sometimes, I like to bring along
                      Friends that rough may be.
They clap, they roll, they flash.
                      They rile up the sea.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      No, I am not visual.
                      No, me you cannot see,
                      But my actions are visible
                      To a lesser, greater degree.

                      Gone Fishin' yesiree..
                      Gone Fishin' you can see..
                      Out of my apple...
                      I'll take a bite...
                      While being sure...
                      My line is tight!
                      I love to splash...
                      'Cause this is fun...
                      Oh, boy, there's a bite...
                      And...a grrreat, big one!

                    I'm Fuzzy-Wuzzy. Yup! That's me!
Holding yummies for you, you see!
Here's some root beer nice 'n' cold,
With this watermelon that I hold!

"A Pickle At a Picnic!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The day was hot and sunny,
                      But something happened funny.
                      My basket full of eats,
                      I opened up for treats.
                      A little jar I saw
On which I placed my paw.
                      As the cover popped off,
                      Startled, I did cough.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      A slippery, olive green
                      Object dressed in sheen,
                      With a sudden pace
                      Jumped up in my face.
                      As I was aghast,
                      It happened all so fast!
                      My mouth was opened wide,
When that green thing slipped inside!
As I tried to catch my breath,
                      It was sudden death.
                      That slipping, sliding green
                      Went whizzing by my spleen.
                      It wriggled all about,
                      'Til it made me shout.
I gave it all I had,
But then it made me glad.
For when I coughed and choked,
                      The process was revoked.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                      That rubbery, olive green
                      Shot out good and clean.
                      Across the park it zoomed
                      Past where the flowers bloomed.
                      It bonged into a tree
And bounced right back at me!
                      My paw, defensively I raised,
To stop this green so crazed.
Kerplunk! It plopped back in the jar.
I replaced the lid and thanked my lucky star!
