"Words"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sticks and stones may break our bones, But like new, they'll mend and heal. Words can break our hearts and spirits, Leaving wounds beyond repeal. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Remember, use some thought and care Before thy swords unsheathe, Review thy weapons carefully, Before you thrust, bequeath. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Words can so elate us, Bring joys without measure. Cradling us in love and kindness Become our cherished treasure. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - But, words can epitomize Deep chasms of despair, Chisel away our hearts and souls, Causing pain we cannot bear. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So, let's remember this. For the targets that we seek, Choose our words more wisely And think before we speak. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The careless aim of a thoughtless tongue Can deeply wound an innocent one. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Written by Sharon Donnelly, aka Artsie_ladie © 2007/03/26

"Beauty"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We can find beauty in so many places. We can find beauty in so many faces. There's beauty in that the sun doth shine. There's beauty in the forest's, sweet smell of pine. A child's face, so full of wonder; The dancing of lightning and rolling of thunder; The purity of heart, of warmest intention; The wisdom of age, needs a mention; Hands that reach out to hug, to hold, A hurting soul, so lost from the fold; In the vast array of stars in the sky; A twinkle of happiness placed in an eye; The love of a mother, her children so dear, And the love of a lover, true and sincere. There's beauty in manners, thank you and please; In blooming flowers, a cool, summer breeze; The essence of hope a new life rekindles, As an old life fades and sadly, it dwindles. Yes, there's beauty in so many things, If we open our hearts, tune up our strings. Our eyesight can narrow, play on us tricks; Our minds can be clever, throw deceit in the mix, But, if we see with our hearts, let our hearts have a say, More beauty we'll find, down life's pathway. -

"As Death Descends, New Birth Arises"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Quietly slipping, fading, gone,
The breath of life depletes by dawn.
As the lifeless turns to dust and ashes,
A new life springs forth at the sun's first lashes.
With differences set, determined, defined,
Metamorphosis of sorts, superbly refined.
A new physical form experiences birth,
'Til once again, it will join with the earth.
Each being meets with fate's demise,
Cocooning new life to spawn, give rise.

"Beauty"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We can find beauty in so many places.
We can find beauty in so many faces.
There's beauty in that the sun doth shine.
There's beauty in the forest's, sweet smell of pine.
A child's face, so full of wonder;
The dancing of lightning and rolling of thunder;
The purity of heart, of warmest intention;
The wisdom of age, needs a mention;
Hands that reach out to hug, to hold,
A hurting soul, so lost from the fold;
In the vast array of stars in the sky;
A twinkle of happiness placed in an eye;
The love of a mother, her children so dear,
And the love of a lover, true and sincere.
There's beauty in manners, thank you and please;
In blooming flowers, a cool, summer breeze;
The essence of hope a new life rekindles,
As an old life fades and sadly, it dwindles.
Yes, there's beauty in so many things,
If we open our hearts, tune up our strings.
Our eyesight can narrow, play on us tricks;
Our minds can be clever, throw deceit in the mix,
But, if we see with our hearts, let our hearts have a say,
More beauty we'll find, down life's pathway.

"My Loss, Heaven's Gain"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I'm feeling so blue, so all alone
For one of my dearest friends is gone.
Life's not fair of this I'm sure
For my emptiness, there is no cure.
Why oh why, does this hurt me so,
When I know that his soul is all aglow.
He's joined our Lord in heaven's place.
He knows the wonders of our Lord's sweet grace.
Another void within my heart...
It shall remain an empty part.
All I can hope for and to pray,
Is to worthy myself to join him someday!

I'm feeling so blue, so all alone
For my very dearest friend is gone.
Life's not fair of this I'm sure
For my emptiness, there is no cure.
Why oh why, does this hurt me so,
When I know that her soul is all aglow.
She has joined our Lord in heaven's place.
She knows the wonders of our Lord's sweet grace.
A huge void deep within my heart...
It shall be, thus remain an empty part.

"Losing"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Losing an object, leaves one less than glad.
Losing an acquaintance makes one sad.
Losing a friendship is like losing a treasure.
Losing a friend is dreadful so beyond measure.
Losing a race, competition, a crown,
Is losing a smile, creating a frown.
Losing some time can leave us behind.
Losing a memory is really unkind.
Losing a foe seems beneficial.
Losing a truth is more than judicial.
Losing the pain can cost a great sum.
Losing a battle needs more than some rum.
Losing a child shatters the heart.
Losing a parent tears one apart.
Losing our hope makes mountains too steep.
Losing our faith leaves us in darkness to weep.

"Peering Through The Pane"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Through longing eyes she watches,
The games, the fun, the laughter.
Her heart longs to be a part
Before, during, after.
She winces as they point in her direction,
For the giggling only grows, as they revel in rejection.
A warm, wet tear rolls down her reddened cheek,
But she smiles anyway for words she cannot speak.
As she slowly turns away and fades into the shadows,
Silently she wishes for nevermore tomorrows.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
But the dawning of new days arrive,
Commencing daylights in rebirth,
Peering through the pane still,
She questions her self worth.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Then one day, peering through the pane,
Suddenly she hears, yes, indeed, her name.
As the pounding in her chest increases, her vision becomes a blur.
Her ears must be hearing things for they can't be meaning her.
The crowd is persistent. They continue their request.
They're even adding words like, "Come on! You are the best!"
So, bravely she steps out from behind the pane.
She offers all the best she has, never thinking of self gain.
They gather 'round her with bubbly, eager chat.
Laughing and convincing her, she is where it's at.
Her heart is filled with gladness, perpetuated joy.
For she can't believe, her acceptance, they employ.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Now the task has been completed, drawn into a close.
Where is everyone? Hadn't her they chose?
With sadness and dismay, she stares in disbelief,
Feeling so forsaken by each a clever thief.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, once again, she stands alone, on the outside looking in.
A deepened, swelling sorrow forges the unforgiving sin.
Discouraged and disheartened, more so than before,
She knows her strength has dissipated, gone forevermore.
Ne'er will she peer again through a cold, relentless pane.
Her heart, her spirit, shattered hopelessly by unmitigated pain.

"Chrissy ~ ~ happy11xxx!"
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
The happiness you've spread.
The joy within our hearts you've placed.
The color you've painted, added to our lives,
So effortlessly you've aced.
Although we will miss you,
The cheer you've brought to all,
Your star will shine brighter,
Your wings have made their call.
When we're feeling lonely
For the warmth you have given,
We will just look up
To your star up in the heaven,
For we can rest assured
You are there and still,
Your joy and happiness lives on
And it always will!

"Insignificance"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The cover is faded, ragged, worn.
The binding is frayed, thready, so torn.
The pages, fragile, crumbling away,
Words are jumbling in rooted decay.
Twilight embraces with age, adorn.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
An ol' relic now, with purpose lost,
Callously mocked, so quickly it's tossed.
Feed the fire, with a hunger it burns,
Void of remorse, rebuking returns.
Insignificance bade, death embossed.

"Whispers"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I've come to a conclusion,
One that is surreal.
It's certainly not a catalyst
To make me better feel.
Its reality has hit me
Square in the face,
But it's best to know,
Dare not substitute, replace.
I guess some think
I was born just yesterday,
But really the joke will rest
On themselves one day.
For those that laugh and mock me,
Find fault in all I do,
Your day will come,
When you will feel this, too.
I will not change my standards,
Stoop to a level that's below,
Nor will I compromise,
My faith in what I know.
Jealousy is a wasted energy,
One which I reject.
Its roots are evil based
Without any positive affect.
If those that mock me, think
Their whispers can't be heard,
I've got news for all of you,
I know every word.
But, if this brings you pleasure,
Carrying out your deed,
Please continue onward,
Cultivate your seed.
Just remember this,
I do not wish ill will.
I wish you a much better reap,
Than that you all doth till.

"I'm So Sorry For Living..."
,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,
Each day I walk,
The shorter grows my path.
As each day closes,
Less chance to face the wrath.
God, it isn't easy,
But I'll take the blame.
With a shattered heart,
I'll hang my head in shame.
If it will keep others,
Shining in the light,
I'll bear it all,
And zip my lips up tight.
But, you know, God,
The truth that's being kept,
I hope it's all so worth,
The tears that I have wept.
The day will come,
When their eyes will open,
It will be too late,
To mend, as they'd be hopin'.
For when I've left,
A long time gone I shall be.
All the voices in the world,
Shall be silenced, all by Thee.

"How Will I Be Remembered?"
Gee, I wonder. How would I be remembered in the hearts of folks?
Would I be a wooden wheel that turned without its spokes?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Would I be a place where someone would never go?
Would I flourish daily in hearts, a yes or no?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Would all my faults be pointed out and focused on the most?
Or would they tell of other things and raise their glass to toast?
- - - - - - - - - - -
How would I be thought of by my family and my friends?
Would my passing be a blessing, a welcomed closing as it ends?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Who would stand up for me to mention what I'd felt?
Who'd bother to tell my story about the cards that I'd been dealt?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Would they speak of me with compassion, and of gifts?
Or would they speak of my pitfalls and point out all my rifts?
- - - - - - - - - - -
What would my last impression be that I'd leave upon their heart?
Would they simply close the lid and relish their new start?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Would they tell of the love within my heart and soul
For those that mattered most to me and that giving was my goal?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Would anyone think to mention how I adored my mother so
Or to make acknowledgement that my daughter made me glow?
- - - - - - - - - - -
Will they speak of the love that I felt within my heart
For Jesus and my Savior? Will they recognize that part?
- - - - - - - - - - -
And lastly, would anyone, really, miss me in their lives ahead?
Or would they simply be relieved of my presence so gone and dead?

Be careful what you're digging for, you may read and weep!
When you have done your digging, drove home all its hurt,
You may indeed just harvest, your own pile of dirt!

Thank God, for true friends!
Thank God, for enlightenment!
Thank God, as truth descends!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I know there's a reason,
For this pain that's in my heart,
I can only pray for those
That cultivate their art!
Their art of deceit, lies, no truth.
I seek my answers, for God's my Super Sleuth!

"The Tree Of Life"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I am not thee tree,
But as a branch I live,
Seeking nurturement and knowledge
For the greater good I give.
If I do my part,
And share what I attain,
The tree of life lives on,
Never shall it wane.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We are all the branches
On the tree of life.
If we remember this,
There's purpose to our strife.
The more we give to others,
The greater good will shine
And there is no substitute
For the wholesome peace of mind.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
That which is forgiving
And so much a part of living,
Meanders through all life
With little twists and turns,
Never seeking more,
Void of desire, yearns.
Softly flowing,
Seeping everywhere,
With a lack of purpose,
Yet, with purpose beyond compare.
Caressing all it touches,
Gently meek and mild,
But a force to reckon with,
Should it so be riled.
A cradle of life
In every new beginning.
A keeper of all life
Swirling, still, or spinning.
Without its presence
Life could never be.
Nothing would exist,
The sky, the earth, the sea.
The matter that does matter
To each and all of us,
Would be lost, pointless,
Just drifting, useless dust.

"Sometimes...Take Time..."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sometimes.....
Throughout our busy days...
In the chaos and the craze...
While we strive to live like kings,
We forget IMPORTANT things!
The beauty of a tree -
Ah, yes, a child's wonder -
Or of a rose in bloom -
Do we dare to ponder?
Seemingly insignificant matters
Like thoughts and prayers and such...
Well, maybe, "We'll do it later....
('Cause it doesn't matter much)!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Not only of our time
Is our sparing small,
But with all our 'gotta' haves',
We don't recognize the call
Of someone in need,
A stranger or a friend.
Maybe, just a helping hand
Is all we need to lend.
You see? If it doesn't fit...
Within our schedule range,
Our accustomed style...
We simply cannot change!
I'm not going that way...
I don't think I can...
I've got to get my 'this'...
That's not within my plan...
These are some 'excuses'
That we're guilty of each day,
But if we thought a moment...
I bet we'd find a way
To make a call or two
Or help someone in need!
If we did without a little,
It would magnify indeed!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
If our material possessions
Were all just stripped away,
Would we be left standing...
Naked and in dismay?
Could we look inside our soul
And be content in what we see
Or would we make some changes
And throw away the key?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To the door of 'think of me'...
Be sure it's locked up tight,
'Cause a whole new door will open
As you're showered with the light!
No longer will you have to worry
About your little self,
'Cause the care you give to others
Will not remain upon a shelf!
You'll be surrounded in ways
You can't imagine thus.
You'll feel much more significant
And no more like a 'wuss'!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The rewards in life are plenty.
They are there for all of us,
If we do a little caring
And refocus how we fuss!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, let us all each day
Find some time for others.
Share our thoughts and feelings
With our sisters and our brothers.
I don't mean just family, here,
Although they're number one,
But also, with the other souls
That may not always be as fun!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Let me just say.....
That I'm guilty of this, too.
That's why I'm sharing thoughts
As I think of you.
And if tomorrow I'm not here,
'Cause we never know what's next.
I want my family and friends
To know and not to feel perplexed.
To say the way I feel...
That I love each and every one...
Just doesn't seem adequate
Or that my task is done!
So, if there's any doubt
In your minds as of today,
Remember this I've said
And I mean just what I say!
I want to say one more thing
This, most of all...
May you each know God's Blessings.
May they be showered on you ALL!!!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, when we get so busy, me and you,
Let's try to think of others a little bit more, too.
Whether one gives to a stranger or a friend,
Others may follow suit, thus spark a warm and giving trend!

...I was inspired to write this poem after I received this link from a friend :
http://www.inlibertyandfreedom.com/Flash/Think_It_Over.swf
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Five days after I gave this poem to my brother, he passed away. I believe that all things happen for a reason and I can't begin to say how the fact that I wrote this seems to emphasize my point for this gave me considerable consolation when I lost him. The way that I see it, is that it was meant for me to write this, 'cause of what was about to come to be!

"Lonesome Path"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As I walk my lonesome path,
While my memories flood with tears,
I know that the time has come
Where there are no more years
To make more memories
To laugh, to hug, relate.
All that's left is in my heart
To console my pain, abate.

"A True Giver!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The greatest reward awaits for those,
That give from their hearts of endless flows
With no expectations of praise or fame.
Their only intention, a smile to claim.
The rapture, the joy, they bring to a face.
Their deepest hope is the sad to erase.
Being a giver of hope and pleasure,
Is a blessed soul far beyond measure.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
My Mom always gave from her heart.
More than she had, I assure.
She always thought of others before herself.
Gladly and with intentions so pure.

"Global Warming"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Winters certainly aren't like thay used to be...
Spring and autumn, we barely see...
The summers are muggy and miserable most of the days
And our world is entering an irreversible phase.
Yet, Washington won't let the scientists state
The true dilemma that is our fate.
Ten years to go for a chance of reversal,
After which there'll be no rehersal
For the greedy to act their part.
The reality of doom will have made its start!

"No Title"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Whether spring is here
Or autumn's come...,
Guess it depends
On where you're from.
Whether the birdies sing
Or the owls hoot,
It makes no difference
For you're in route
To a brand new path,
A brand new venture.
Seize your moments
Your thirst, a quencher.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Always remember, though,
Each bridge within your lane.
Tread lightly with respect
For you might need to cross again.

Yesterday is the day that was....
Today is the day that always is...
Tomorrow is the day that shall never be...
Makes perfect sense. Don't you agree?

"A Thoughtless Tongue"
Before you speak, (Now, in the meanwhile,) remember, declare,
The words of another can harm and impair.
The careless wagging of a thoughtless tongue
Can deeply wound an innocent one.

Sticks and stones may break my bones,

Words will break my heart and spirit,
Leaving wounds beyond repeal.

"Words"
(This is kinda' what developed/spawned from the previous two.)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sticks and stones may break our bones,
But like new, they'll mend and heal.
Words can break our hearts and spirits,
Leaving wounds beyond repeal.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Remember, use some thought and care
Before thy swords unsheathe,
Review thy weapons carefully,
Before you thrust, bequeath.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Words can so elate us,
Bring joys without measure.
Cradling us in love and kindness
Become our cherished treasure.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
But, words can epitomize
Deep chasms of despair,
Chisel away our hearts and souls,
Causing pain we cannot bear.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, let's remember this.
For the targets that we seek,
Choose our words more wisely
And think before we speak.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The careless aim of a thoughtless tongue
Can deeply wound an innocent one.

"Congratulations, Graduate!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Take pride in your achievement,
A goal which you have met!
Although it's an ending to a chapter,
A new beginning has been set.
This achievement you have earned,
In which so much you have learned.
A brand, new road lies ahead.
So, now go forth, embrace.
Your new challenges await you.
Some hard, but many you will ace.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Just remember that life is
A road of twists and turns.
Reveling in its rewards
Lessens inevitable burns.
Always look forward to
That which you may change,
But there is also some in life
That you cannot rearrange.
Use your mistakes as learning tools.
A silver lining hides within.
Harvest what may shine from them.
Plant this knowledge, your future sowings, in.

"Guards, Captains, Sergeants & Lieutenants!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Aye, aye, Guard and Captain!
Aye, aye, Sergeant and Lieutenant!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
These important folks
Are here to help us all.
They're always working hard,
As they're always on the ball!
There's no need to fear them
Unless you break a rule.
They work hard to keep you safe.
They really are so cool!
So, if you have a question
Of how or when or why.
Don't hesitate to ask.
Goodness! Don't be shy!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Treat them with respect
For all that they have done!
We all salute their efforts...
Each and every one!

These are poems I wrote in reference to Elftown.
"With Pleasure!"
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
Everything I do on Elftown is with pleasure!
It is such a privilege, an honour beyond measure!
My goal is very simple, as everyone's should be,
To make Elftown the very best community!
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
Yes, my support is with the Mayor,
With respect and with pride!
[Hedda] is my teacher,
As well, he is my guide!
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
So many are forgetting,
Where would Elftown be?
If it wasn't for our leader,
Our eyes do need to see!
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
So... yes, indeed...
Everything I do on Elftown is with pleasure!
It is such a privilege, an honour beyond measure!

"Our Mayor, Our King!"
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
There's a fellow here on Elftown,
We think you all should know.
The creator of our town,
That aides us all to grow.
He rules this great land
With our happiness in mind.
A mayor with compassion,
Well, this is rare to find!
When there's an ugly bug
And things go on the blink,
Who's the one that fixes them.
Do you really need to think?
For all our little problems,
We plague upon his head,
I think it's time we honour him,
Without an ounce of dread!

"Elftown Is For Creative Souls!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Elftown is the place to be.
The place for you and for me!
If you are a creative creature,
Then you're home is here to feature,
Your works of music, brush or pen,
Both by women and by men.
Whether young or whether old,
We all have stories to be told.
Works in progress or works so done
Belong here while we're having fun!
We share our thoughts in various ways.
We help each other clear the haze.
Our bond is strong, this is true
And we respect each other's view.
[ .......BUT....... ]
If you're looking for something to do,
With no intention to join our crew,
Then keep on trucking onward, forth,
Whether south or to the north,
This is not a hunting ground
Where you think that sex is found!
There are sites to suit your needs
It's just not here for your dirty deeds!
If you don't like what I've written here
I won't apologize, so let's be clear!
There's a suggestion that I have, not new...
Start a web site for the likes of you!
Leave our town A.S.A.P.,
'Cause you're not wanted, can't you see?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
What town you say you're looking for?
Oh, Cybertown! Well, I am sure,
You missed the turn, uh, <<< back that way!
This is Elftown and I must say...
For you, there's nothing here.
Let me make this perfectly clear!
You're a minus, so do the math!
Or you'll be feeling the dragon's wrath!
Begone! Begone! Get out of here!
Or you'll be sorry, you drifted here!

"Happy Birthday, Our Town, Elftown!"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Gather 'round Elftown folks
For it's time to celebrate.
Let's not tarry too long.
We wouldn't want to be late!
Dip from the lake of chocolate,
Scoop from the mountains of whip cream.
Cut a piece of the castle cake.
Make a wish come true, a dream.
Raise up your coconut cups.
This fantasy land we toast
For we're proud to be
Part of this community,
As we shout and holler and boast.
Happy Birthday, our town!
Happy Birthday, Elftown!

Welcome to my house, where
I've turned some things around.
I have set up some tables.
Even boxes can be found.
What's the matter, dear?
Can't see all that I have done?
Aww! Look a little closer!
Why, I even had some fun!

♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥Yet, here I am,
Tarnished at the Mayor's hand,
The very same person I've supported,
Behind him and for him I did stand.
Only to discover that he has mocked and painted me,
As a person and a member only of lunacy.
About discrepencies of his own, I've silent been,
To preserve his dignity, conveyed with private pen.
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
For doing nothing wrong, for trying to do all I could,
I've been stripped of everything, my reward for being good!
Then to know I've been monitored, kept tabs on, I ask for what?
What have I ever done to warrant such and with words that deeply cut?
He only tells the part that benefits him!
He doesn't tell the rest to, his reputation, dim.
No, but mine he's trashed, here and across the Internet.
I am expected though, to shut up and forget!
♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥
Those of you that speak against me do not know,
For your lack of knowledge I do not blame you though.
When your privacy has been invaded to the extent that mine has been,
Remember! how you judged and told me to be quiet, then again.
What I've been going through, what I've had to bear,
Still I can't bring myself to harm him should I share.
When you care so much, even though wrong you, one has done,
Revenge can't be a vessel used, against a privileged one.

Elftown
Our Beloved Community!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
We are Elftowners. We stand tall and true.
Committed to her greatness, we will see her through.
When she's trouble laden, 'tis when she needs us most.
Our commitment only strengthens, the louder we will boast!
Our community we love so dearly, we'll not let her down,
There is much to rejoice in her, even if we sometimes frown.
Membership's an honour, a privilege absolute.
We do remember this, as we stand up and salute.
As we travel around the world, mostly on the net,
Our fingers are her soldiers, so the world cannot forget.
As we spread the news, to all corners far and wide,
We do so with honour, as we also do with pride.
We take her past the moon, way beyond Mars,
For she is only worthy to shine among the stars!

These are little poems I wrote for my AOL homepages (when they were still available).
"Me!"
By Me!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Love animals...
Like horses, dogs, and cats.
There's so many thises
As well as all the thats...
I would like to do,
Much I'm meaning to!
Within my habitats.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Like to draw and paint,
Write a poem and a story,
Just to quench my thirst...
And not for fame and glory.
What makes me come alive..
Is the swelling of a vive...
Creative category!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Not big, not small
Not short, not tall
Not smart, not dumb
With all my fingers...
Including my thumb
Write a little, draw a lot
Play some music, write some rhyme
Uh, gotta go I'm outta time!

"Who Am I?"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To know me, there are things that I must say.
First, I seek my Lord and Saviour each and every day!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When it comes to love, my heart is filled with such.
I'm so blessed with family and friends, I love so very much!
My Mom is the greatest person that I'll ever know.
My daughter is my greatest gift on me, God did bestow.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When it comes to country, I'm proud of my great land.
You will find behind her that I will always take a stand.
Maybe things aren't the best that they can ever be,
But our forefathers died for us, for you and for me!
This we must remember through each and every day.
Not just when disaster strikes do we stand and say...
I'm proud to be an American, the land of the free.
The land that God watches over from sea to shining sea.
I proudly display the Stars and Stripes each and every day,
Not just on occasion or for some specific holiday!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There are many sides to me, facets some would say.
I'm a mother, a daughter, a friend each and every day.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I'm a caregiver to many a homeless pet.
That needs a place to stay for someone did forget.
A life to care for is not just a thing to wave.
Nor a temporary fix for someone's current crave.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
An artist that strives for that realistic touch
To honor the gift that God has blessed me with so much.
Whether I use a pencil, a pen or a brush,
I don't do my craft with any amount of rush.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I like to write stories for children everywhere.
To capture their attention and teach them how to care.
When I look upon a child's face, I see the wonder of today.
As well I see tomorrow's promise, we should cherish every day.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
My style of expression in the words I write
Are of rhythm and rhyme, ah, yes, my heart's delight.
Free style to me is like a paragraph broken.
Some prose written down, but scattered, misspoken.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Then the side of music is a part of my attention.
I love to play the keyboards, too many songs to mention.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I think this just about, sums it up, the major part of me,
As you'll come to realize on the pages you're about to see!!!

There are many kinds of creations I do
Painting, drawing, and poetry, a few.
Stories for children, some of coloring book sort;
Greeting cards, pet portraits and more to report.
With brush, pencil and pen, in mediums I work.
My focus on detail is not just a quirk.
Realistic art is mostly what I do
Just don't ask me for a portrait of you.
Animals and nature, these I do well.
Scenery, too. This I must tell.

"Thank You!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There are three employees of AOL
That I want to acknowledge and to tell.
Their efforts to help me I have to mention.
Their help's been a great intervention.
It's because of them that I'm a member here.
I just want to make this perfectly clear.
If, seriously, more would take their work this way,
Then all things with business would be better today.
So many go to work to punch in their time,
But few really care about your needs or mine.
With the names I acknowledge here, I feel secure
That they are a plus to this company for sure.
To Donna, Ric, and Nevin, too...
A great, big 'smile' and a huge 'THANK YOU'!
