"Unconventional Love"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Oftentimes when we look for love,
We search in places we think it oughta' be,
We dismiss the possibility or likelihood
Of where or in ways we cannot see.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Because it isn't seemingly the norm, it..
Must be something, but love, it simply cannot be,
So we keep on searching for that traditional love
In the ways and places, we only allow ourselves to see.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Meanwhile, the love we desire to fulfill our life,
Could be waiting, longing too, right before our eyes.
But using logic and reasoning, we set our stubborn mind,
Depriving our heart the chance as we over analyze.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Love that's unconventional, without normal protocol,
Elusive and secluded, can be easily misread,
And perceived as weird, or often even strange,
It's true design lost, the recipient mislead.

What love... is superbly creative, unique?
What love... is resourceful and persistent?
What love... is endlessly strong, resilient?
What love... is enduring, storminess resistant?

Only a love profound, a love indeed so rare,
Can be such a love as this, not found just anywhere.
Only a love that's deep, with a capacity so immense,
Can be such a love as this, a desire so intense.

How could I have been so blind; why didn't I really see?
The love I've been looking for, has been all along with me!
But consumed with so much doubt from history laced with fear,
I resisted, pushed away, the one I truly hold so dear.

I am listening now, my dear. I feel the very same.
My heart can only smile at the mention of your name.
"You're always in my heart; you're always on my mind."
No matter where I am, you are never far behind.

When I wish to hug someone, so near I wanna' be,
It's you I long to touch and hold, so very close to me.
"There's no one that comes close to you, could ever take your place."
You can fill my world with sunshine, by just a smile on your face.

When things become too much, hard for me to bear,
I drift off to dreamland, because you are always there.
Always there waiting with those arms I long to feel,
Wrapped around me tightly, securely and surreal.

"We were meant to be together." Our paths have joined as one.
Though we may not understand, our destiny has begun.
But the rest is up to us, whether we dare to follow through,
Shall we be alone or together, my dear, I leave it up to you.

"We can roll with the punches", defeat opposing forces,
If we believe in each other, above all other sources.
"We can stroll hand and hand", by the sea or down the lane,
Anywhere with you together, whether wind or snow or rain.

Have a cool site of your own or know of one? Contact me with the link to it and if I think it's cool or useful to know about for many, I'll add it to my "Recommended Sites' Box" in the right hand column.
Examples: Sites for/about artists, writers, pet rescue, with helpful/useful information for many, and as I think of more examples, I'll add them.

It surely would be nice and much more convenient, if Google would have the "sign in" on the top of the page, versus on the bottom. :/
